What does the 10+128 holder configuration mean in practice?

The 10+128 split allocates 10 positions to the active blow station (the positions that are within the blow mold zone during a cycle) and 128 positions to the preform conditioning zone (where infrared lamps heat the preforms before they reach the blow station). The 128-position conditioning path is substantially longer than the 60-position path on ES-series machines — providing a much longer dwell time for the preform to reach uniform temperature across the full wall cross-section. This longer dwell is necessary for the heavier preform stock used in 3-litre oil bottles, which has a thicker wall that takes longer to heat through than a standard thin-wall beverage preform.

Why is the max neck only 46 mm when the ES-2C150 goes up to 110 mm at a similar body width?

The JS-2CB152 is optimised for a wide-body, narrow-neck container geometry — the 3-litre cooking oil bottle profile where a wide 140 mm body pairs with a standard screw-top closure. The narrow 46 mm neck ceiling is a design constraint of the preform holder pitch and blow station geometry at 152 mm cavity spacing. If your 3-litre container requires a neck above 46 mm, the HGA.ES-2C200 at 138 mm neck and 5,000 ml is the correct platform despite its higher output capability.

Can the JS-2CB152 produce both handle and non-handle 3-litre oil bottles?

Yes — the 440 mm mold-open distance accommodates handle tooling at the 140 mm body scale, and standard non-handle mold sets are equally compatible.
