Remote Diagnostic Service: Fault Resolution Without On-Site Visit

Remote VPN Diagnostic Access

Korea Ever-Power ZQ IBM machines from 2024 model year include a ZQ HMI VPN remote access module (optional retrofit available for pre-2024 ZQ machines). The VPN module allows Korea Ever-Power Ansan-si service engineers to access the ZQ machine HMI remotely over the Korean or global customer’s factory network (with customer authorisation) to read ZQ process parameter logs, alarm history, current sensor values and servo drive status without requiring an on-site visit. Remote VPN diagnostic resolves approximately 65% of ZQ IBM machine fault reports from Korean and international customers within 2-4 hours of the remote session start, covering parameter-related faults (temperature zone alarm, injection position alarm), PLC logic errors and sensor failure identification. Korea Ever-Power’s service engineer guides the Korean or international IBM customer’s production operator through component replacement or parameter adjustment via WhatsApp video call simultaneously with VPN HMI access for combined visual and data diagnosis.

Video Call Diagnostic for Non-VPN Customers

For ZQ IBM customers without VPN remote access (pre-2024 machines, customers with factory network restrictions), Korea Ever-Power’s Ansan-si service team conducts video call diagnostic via WhatsApp, KakaoTalk (Korean customers), Line or WeChat (Asian customers) with the Korean or international IBM customer’s production engineer. Video diagnostic procedure: customer engineer shares live ZQ HMI screen via phone camera while Korea Ever-Power service engineer guides alarm code identification, sensor status reading and step-by-step fault isolation in the ZQ PLC program. Korea Ever-Power service engineers are fluent in Korean, English and Chinese for video diagnostic communication with Korean domestic and Asian international ZQ IBM customers. Video call diagnostic resolves approximately 45% of ZQ IBM fault reports without requiring spare part dispatch or on-site visit — saving the Korean or international customer 1-5 days of production stoppage versus waiting for on-site engineer service.

Korea Ever-Power ZQ IBM mould tooling — injection cavity, core rod and blow mould components that require periodic inspection and refurbishment as part of the ZQ IBM machine after-sales maintenance programme. Core rods are inspected annually (OD measurement at 3 points) and replaced when wear exceeds 0.03mm below original specification. Injection cavities are repolished every 5,000 production hours when Ra surface roughness exceeds 0.05μm. Korea Ever-Power’s Ansan-si service team maintains stock of standard core rod dimensions for ZQ40/ZQ60 pharmaceutical and cosmetic container formats for same-day dispatch to Korean customers requiring emergency mould component replacement.

IBM After-Sales Service — Engineering Questions

คำถามที่ 01

What is the most common ZQ40/ZQ60 IBM machine fault and how is it resolved?

The most common fault category in Korea Ever-Power ZQ40 and ZQ60 IBM machine service calls from Korean and international customers is barrel temperature zone alarm — a specific barrel heater zone failing to reach or maintain set temperature due to heater band failure or thermocouple failure. Barrel temperature zone fault occurrence: approximately 35% of all ZQ40/ZQ60 Korean service requests. Typical resolution: Korea Ever-Power service engineer identifies the failed zone from ZQ HMI alarm code via remote video call or VPN session; advises Korean customer operator to confirm the fault by checking zone indicator on ZQ HMI and measuring heater band resistance with a multimeter (heater band open circuit = resistance infinity = failed heater band; heater band resistance in specified range but temperature still not reached = likely thermocouple failure). Spare part dispatch: Korea Ever-Power dispatches the replacement heater band or thermocouple from Ansan-si spare parts stock same day (Korean customer) or next day dispatch DHL (international customer). Korean customer operator replaces the heater band or thermocouple under Korea Ever-Power video call guidance (Korean IBM production electrician task, 30-60 minute repair). ZQ machine restart and temperature verification confirms fault resolution. Total Korean customer downtime for barrel temperature zone alarm: typically 4-8 hours from fault to restart if spare part in Korean customer stock; 24-48 hours if spare part dispatched from Ansan-si same day. Korea Ever-Power strongly recommends all ZQ40/ZQ60 Korean customers maintain one complete barrel heater band set and thermocouple set in Korean factory stock to minimise IBM production downtime from this most common service requirement.

คำถามที่ 02

How long does Korea Ever-Power support ZQ IBM machines with spare parts after model discontinuation?

Korea Ever-Power commits to a 10-year spare parts supply guarantee for all ZQ series IBM machine models from the date of last production of that machine model — ensuring Korean and international ZQ IBM customers can continue operating their ZQ machines with genuine Korea Ever-Power spare parts for the expected production lifetime of the machine (typically 12-15 years for well-maintained ZQ IBM machines at Korean production conditions). ZQ model succession: when Korea Ever-Power introduces an updated ZQ model (e.g. ZQ40 second generation replacing first generation), spare parts for the first-generation ZQ40 remain available from Ansan-si stock for minimum 10 years after ZQ40 first generation production concludes. Critical spare parts (barrel heater bands, hydraulic seal kits, thermocouples, proximity sensors) for ZQ40 and ZQ60 first-generation models are stocked at Korea Ever-Power Ansan-si currently and will continue to be stocked through the end of the 10-year guarantee period. For ZQ IBM spare parts with third-party supplier components (certain electrical components, hydraulic valves, servo drives) where the original supplier has discontinued the component: Korea Ever-Power provides an approved substitute component specification with interchange engineering validation, ensuring Korean customers can source substitute components from Korean electronic or hydraulic component distributors where the original Korea Ever-Power component is no longer available.

คำถามที่ 5

Does Korea Ever-Power support ZQ IBM machines purchased second-hand in the Korean market?

Korea Ever-Power provides after-sales service and spare parts for ZQ IBM machines purchased second-hand by Korean customers from used Korean IBM machine dealers, Korean IBM machine auction programmes, or direct purchase from first-owner Korean IBM customers retiring or upgrading their ZQ machines. ZQ IBM machine second-hand service procedure: the Korean second-hand ZQ machine purchaser contacts Korea Ever-Power’s Korean service team with the ZQ machine serial number (visible on the ZQ machine nameplate on the front panel). Korea Ever-Power retrieves the ZQ machine production record from Ansan-si factory records, confirming ZQ model specification, original FAT parameter file (if available), Korean first-owner delivery date and any previous service history recorded in Korea Ever-Power’s ZQ machine service database. Korea Ever-Power then provides: current spare parts availability for the specific ZQ machine serial number’s model and year; service contract options for the Korean second-hand purchaser; and optional ZQ machine condition inspection (Korea Ever-Power engineer on-site at Korean second-hand purchaser’s factory to assess ZQ machine mechanical and electrical condition before re-commissioning, issuing inspection report and recommended service actions before Korean production startup). ZQ IBM machine condition inspection is particularly recommended for Korean second-hand purchasers where the ZQ machine history is unknown (no FAT record, unknown production hours) to prevent Korean production startup with a ZQ machine requiring immediate maintenance that the Korean buyer was unaware of at purchase.

คำถามที่ 6

How does Korea Ever-Power handle ZQ IBM machine format upgrade requests from existing Korean customers?

Korea Ever-Power frequently receives format upgrade requests from Korean ZQ IBM customers who have established successful IBM container programmes on one format (e.g. 50ml cosmetic cream jar on ZQ40) and wish to expand to a new container format (e.g. 100ml body cream jar) on the same ZQ40 machine. Format upgrade service process: the Korean customer provides the new format container specification (volume, mouth diameter, material, neck thread, wall target, colour) to Korea Ever-Power’s Ansan-si mould engineering team. Korea Ever-Power evaluates the new format against the existing ZQ machine’s injection capacity (max shot weight check), platen size (new mould dimensions check against ZQ platen) and barrel temperature compatibility (new material same as existing or different grade). If the ZQ machine capacity is confirmed suitable for the new format: Korea Ever-Power designs and manufactures a new ZQ mould set for the new format, validates it at Ansan-si with FAT (optional), and delivers to Korean customer with process parameter file. If the new format exceeds the existing ZQ machine capacity (e.g. Korean customer requests 500ml supplement jar on existing ZQ40 — ZQ40 insufficient shot weight): Korea Ever-Power advises Korean customer on ZQ machine upgrade to ZQ60 or ZQ80 and provides trade-in programme for the ZQ40 machine toward ZQ60 purchase, or separately quotation for additional ZQ60 machine alongside existing ZQ40 for the larger format. Korea Ever-Power’s Korean customer format upgrade support programme has enabled numerous Korean IBM customers to grow their IBM container supply programme across multiple formats from a single ZQ machine investment into a multi-machine, multi-format Korean IBM production facility over 3-8 year expansion timelines.
